Keeping Your Driveway Clean After Pressure Cleaning- EXPLAINED!

To remove all those deep-ingrained grease, dirt and moss cover, you need to opt for professional pressure cleaning to remove every streak and stain from its concrete surface.

But once you are done with that; you need to use a concrete sealer to stop water from seeping into those tiny cracks and leading to more crumbles and imperfections. In addition, applying a sealer also prevents stains from settling down on the concrete pavement.

So, If You Wish To Keep Your Driveway Clean After A Pressure Wash, Here Are Some Tips To Seal Your Driveway.
  1. Let your concrete driveway dry out properly before you think of applying the sealant. The recommended time to seal your concrete driveway is in the morning before the surface is directly exposed to the harsh sun’s rays. Doing so ensures the sealant doesn’t dry out quickly and leave behind hideous stains and streaks.
  2. Thoroughly mix the sealer using a wooden stick or the back end of a paintbrush. You can even attach the handle extension with the paint roller grip and wrap the connection using duct tape to achieve a proper fit with an extended reach.
  3. Look to use a medium nap roller (which works best for rough surfaces) with your paint roller. Evenly apply the sealer over your concrete driveway. Cover up those small pores, cracks, dents and other blemishes properly.
  4. You can also use a paintbrush to scrape out the excess sealer from the container and apply it on the edges and corners of your concrete pavement in a thin and even layer. Look to extend it approximately 6-inches from the corner as that will make it easy for you to blend the sealer with the paint roller later on!
  5. Use a standard paint tray to pour the sealer and then saturate the paint roller with the sealant.  Refrain from over-dipping it. Use it to work over the concrete surface in a ‘W’ manner similar to how you would paint a wall surface.  Look to cover up the whole pavement with such overlapping strokes to blend each coat with the next seamlessly.
Once done, allow ample time for the sealer to dry.

Doing so will help keep your driveway clean till the point you go for another round of professional driveway cleaning by experts serving in Maribyrnong, Wyndham and other nearby suburbs.
Ideally, it is recommended that you pressure clean your driveway once every year and the same applies for re-sealing.

So, if you think your driveway is due for a comprehensive wash, schedule an appointment with experienced driveway cleaning experts in Wyndham or its nearby suburbs
.
They will remove all adamant stains and prepare your driveway for its subsequent sealant application.
